The Hamburg Messe will play host to the Aircraft Interiors Expo this week. But one day before the event is set to start, high-level executives from across the industry will gather at the nearby Radisson Blu Hotel to discuss and debate some of the most important issues impacting the global passenger experience.
Organised by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), the Onboard Experience Workshop on 26 March will feature presentations from a list of esteemed speakers and panelists covering such hot topics as cabin trends and passenger expectations; consumer devices in the air; in-seat power; mood lighting and ambiance; seat and IFE integration; and the future of aviation.
Participants include Oman Air’s general manger – inflight services, commercial department Linda Celestino, who serves as APEX’s vice president, and American Airlines manager IFE systems engineering Erik Miller.
Representatives from the major airframers will also be present – Airbus VP cabin innovation & design Ingo Wuggetzer, Airbus aircraft interiors marketing director Anais Marzo da Costa, Boeing interiors chief engineer, 767/777 programmes Doug Ackerman, and Embraer principal systems engineer Aristides Cintra.
A raft of interiors experts are also slated to join, including B/E Aerospace manager of R&D Pierre Vignal, Diehl Aerospace head of new programmes & product strategy Marc Renz, SiT Cabin Interiors sales & marketing manager Patrick Fretelliere, TEAGUE managing director Sebastian Petry, Zodiac Seats VP engineering Rakibul and celebrated author Jennifer Coutts Clay.
They will join leaders in the world of IFE, inflight connectivity and in-seat power for this powerful one-day workshop, which will culminate in a networking reception. See the full agenda here. If you haven’t registered yet, don’t be ‘blu’; you can still do so onsite at the Radisson Blu starting tomorrow at 8am. I hope to see you there! But if you can’t make it, be sure to return to the APEX editor’s blog for live news updates throughout the day.
